Question about registering for fine china?

There is some good advice from people here. I say go ahead and put it on your Macy's registry. Guests don't have to buy it from there and many people are savy enough to shop for the best prices for something they really want to buy for the bride and groom. It is very doubtful that you will end up with more than the number of place settings you are asking for and in case you do, you can return what you can't use.
